Artistic mastery, structural perfection, and reverence for our vanishing natural world: these are the hallmarks of the Living Series of naturalistic bronzes by noted British sculptor Brian Arthur.
Whether gracefully fluid in motion or magnificently majestic in repose, these maquette-sized sculptures of exotic waterfowl, dolphins, sea lions and more serve as inspiring reminders of the living art that exists all around us.
Each bronze sculpture is hand signed and certified by the artist as he has captured nature's grace in beautiful bronze work.
Bronze sculptor Brian Arthur began his career in the English pottery country of Staffordshire. After graduating in sculpture and art history from Southport College of Arts, he pursued his study of form and structure at the Burstein School of Industrial Design. At Chelsea Pottery in London, Brian trained in hand-thrown sculpture and ornamental design. When this prestiolous studio opened a branch in the Bahamas, he was selected to assist other craftsmen and artists to produce pottery which has been sold in the finest stores in America. His work in a variety of media took Brian to France and Italy. He returned to America to collaborate with sculptor Felix DeWeldon on major commemorative public sculptures, including the Iwo Jima and Harry S. Truman monuments in Washington, D.C.
Brian's work is shown in galleries and fine arts shops throughout the United States and Canada. In addition to creating his unique Living Series of bronze collectibles, the artist still accepts a limited number of private commissions each year.
Brian has his studio in Southern California and in Devon, England.
