"The idea for this painting came from a landscape I painted some years ago, which was a similar view out to sea. The ocean horizon was something I was lucky enough to see as a child from my bedroom window. Contemplating the bottomless ocean and an infinite sky confirm the presence of a mystery and awe that pervades our lives.
